Catalogue Note

“I see art-making as a ritual, a meditation for myself. It’s to exclude myself from society and to create my own rites. The spending time or passing time is ritualized because there is no functionality in the art- making. Time would pass anyway... The energy of art is that you can spend time with yourself... Doing art and being an artist is a philosophical task rather than merely producing objects.”
