Condition
This work is in excellent condition overall. The collage elements appear to be present and stable. The edges of both sheets are unevenly cut, which is inherent to the artist’s working method. Both sheets are hinged verso to the matte intermittently along all four edges. There is a slight undulation to both sheets, most notably along the bottom edges. Each framed under Plexiglas. Please refer to Sothebys.com for an updated image of this work.

Catalogue Note
"Kenya is rapidly developing its industry and manufacturing, and its cultural identity as a new country. We had a humongous history pre-British, and when we were colonized and violently reshuffled, we had to decide who we were again. We couldn't rest on the stories and the cultures of our great-grandparents."Â Wangechi Mutu
