Condition

This work is in very good and sound overall. There are several inconsistencies in the wood grain consistent with the artist’s chosen material. Under very close inspection of the left box there is a small sliver of wood that is lifting at the very back of the top edge.

Catalogue Note

"It isn't necessary for a work to have a lot of things to look at, to compare, to analyze one by one, to contemplate. The thing as a whole, its quality as a whole, is what is interesting."

Donald Judd in "Specific Objects," Arts Yearbook 8, 1995, p. 4
