Condition
This work is in very good condition overall. There is evidence of light wear and handling along the edges, including very faint hairline craquelure at the pull margins with some very minor and pinpoint associated spots of loss along the top edge. The colors are bright, fresh and clean. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there are a few minor and thin spots in the lower left corner that appear to have benefited from light retouching. Framed.

Catalogue Note
"Matta was consistent in his regard that art was not an end in itself, but the catalyst towards seeing. 'A picture is not a canvas on a wall,' he explained, 'it is the impact that hits the bull's-eye of your mind.'"
