The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There is evidence of wear to the edges and corner tips, with some associated small nicks and tiny specks of paint loss in places of all three panels, as well as some faint, superficial rub marks which are only visible in raking light. Very close inspection reveals two thin scratches to the first panel; one to the left edge,100 cm from the lower left corner, and another towards the centre of the right edge and a small network of hairline cracks towards the centre of the composition. Extremely close inspection reveals a minute and unobtrusive impact with a pinhead sized crack towards the centre of the upper right quadrant in the second panel and a thin and shallow scratch towards the left edge, approximately 65 cm. from the upper edge of the third panel. Some of the tiny losses to the extreme edges have been retouched lightly, which fluoresces under ultraviolet light.
