Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Very close inspection reveals evidence of light wear in places to the extreme outer edges and corner tips. Extremely close inspection reveals a few minute and unobtrusive pressed impasto peaks in isolated places, and a tiny media accretion to one of the areas of thicker, black paint towards the upper centre of the upper right quadrant. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
"In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Catalogue Note

"The fact is that things always develop from what you have done before. After, there is always a process where you realize that you control it too good or that it is the picture that controls you too much and then you try to turn it or to question it, to soil or to clean it. Which of these processes it will be, I will not know before."
