Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. Extremely close inspection reveals some small areas of stable craquelure isolated to the thinner areas of paint. Visible only when examined out of its frame, is evidence of frame rubbing to the edges, with some associated specks of loss to the corner tips and in places along the edges. There is some light rubbing towards the upper left corner. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.

Catalogue Note
“Well before the artist had made up his palette with the vibrant chromaticism of his pigments, he had had a gift.” (J.F. Mathey, Hundertwasser, Switzerland 1985, p.13).
