Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the original. The catalogue illustration also fails to convey the metallic nature of the silver and gold paint. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is some light wear to the lower edge, and two faint rub marks to the gold paint; respectively 30 and 70 cm from the right edge. Close inspection reveals a thin scratch to the right purple plaint towards the centre of the lower left quadrant and a faint rub mark to the black paint towards the left edge, approximately 25 cm. from the upper edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
