Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality tends more towards cream in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Only visible upon very close inspection in raking light are some extremely faint and unobtrusive, superficial thin scratches to the upper layer of paint. Further close inspection reveals a small number of faint rub marks in isolated places. There is evidence of wear to the upper extreme outer edge, with some associated light fraying towards the centre. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
