Catalogue Note

The arms are those of Stanhope, probably for Charles, 3rd Earl of Harrington, born 1753, married 1779, Jane, daughter of co-heir of Sir John Fleming, Bart of Brompton Park. Charles was Colonel of the First Regiment of Life Guards and Captain, Governor and Constable of Windsor Castle, Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Hanoverian Guelphic Order. He died 1829.
