Condition
Not examined out of the frame. Gouache on paper laid down on panel. There are 7 pinpoint sized holes scattered in the dark background, which could be quickly retouched by a professional conservator to unify the composition. Surface dirt and dust. The surface appears to be in overall good condition aside from minute craquelure and associated minor pigment loss in the more thickly applied whites, which is expected given the age of the work.
