A LARGE PAIR OF LOUIS XVI STYLE GILT BRONZE-MOUNTED PORPHYRY VASES

Very good overall condition and presentation. The bronze shows some minor discoloration and tarnish consistent with age and atmospheric conditions. There is one small floral bronze element missing from the side of one handle, which can be seen in the illustration. The porphyry is overall in excellent condition, with a few tiny minute chips to edges of cover and foot as to be expected. A prospective purchaser may decide to repolish the stone to bring out the rich color even more.
