the oklad chased with billowing matted clouds and matted halos above the Apostles, marked bottom center with indistinct maker's mark, St. Petersburg, 1868. 84 standard, and with later Soviet control mark

oklad good condition; figures of Christ and the Virgin at top originally had separate halos, scratch to center of painted image and some rubbing and losses where oklad touches icon
