Condition

Gallery inspection recommended. Installed dimensions larger 131.5cm high, 183cm. wide, 33.5cm. deep. Smaller 127cm. high, 181.75cm. wide, 34.5cm. deep. There are variations to the designs of each which are evident from the catalogue photograph. Mantelpiece lower on one. Bothe would benefit from a deep clean. The chimneypieces have endured fractures and losses to the moulded and carved and inset elements during removal. The smaller example is slightly more complex to install; there is a loss to the coloured inset marble to the frieze and inset border around the frieze and the inset border around the fireplace. Each side with evidence of former installation. Each with repairs and consolidation and residue of cement beds to carcass of each which was used to ensure they were safe for use. Professional instalment necessary.
