the hinged top with a central inset panel depicting a garden scene together with a George IV octagonal rosewood and parquetry Tonbridge ware work box, 19th century, the fitted interior lined with pink paper (2)
Condition
The table is in good conserved condition, with marks and scratches consistent with age and use. The painted oval inset, its surface slightly discoloured, nevertheless retains attractive details. The surrounding veneer with restorations. The green-painted inside similarly discoloured. The stretcher with a small secure break in need of attention.
The Tonbridge ware box with old marks and scratches, and some minor movement to parquetry veneers typical of age and use.
