- Burr walnut, parcel gilt, mirror glass
- the larger 152cm. high, 79cm. wide; 5ft., 2ft. 7in.; the smaller 75cm. high, 43.5cm. wide; 2ft. 5½in., 1ft. 5¼in.
together with a further smaller George II parcel-gilt and walnut mirror, both re-gilt (2)
Condition
Larger mirror:
In good restored condition. Walnut veneers have been repolished and the parcel-gilding re-gilt. The mirror plate attractively distressed and almost certainly later. Some caved elements possibly later, this includes the cartouche.
Smaller mirror:
In reasonable condition. Bruising to the lower apron frieze. Some repairs to the veneers. The later plate attractively distressed.
Both lots have been re-polished but have a rich attractive colour and patina and are decorative objects ready to hang.
