Condition
Overall the condition of the keys is good, with wear and minor dirt consistent with age. There is minor darkening and some oxidisation to the metal. There some nicks and scratches consistent with use. The finial of one of the keys is very slightly loose but stable.
The stands are in good condition with some wear.

A key identical to the key with the dolphin bow except for the pattern on the bit was sold in these rooms on 21 November 1984, lot 165 and there catalogued as French, 17th century.
