Provenance

The arms are those of Pytts of Kyre House, Worcestershire, probably either for Edmund Pytts (1729-1781) or his brother, Jonathan (1731-1807), the sons of Edmund Pytts (1696?-1753), M.P. for Worcestershire from 1741 until his death. Both brothers died without issue and their estate passed to the descendants of their aunt, Catherine Childe. One of Jonathan Pytts’s mourning rings was sold by Matthew Barton Ltd., London, 9 December 2014, lot 364.
