- Giltwood, mirror glass
- 227cm. high, 148cm. wide; 9ft. 1in., 4ft. 10¼in.
with a central arched and divided rectangular plate within a mirrored border with engraved mirror plates with classical figures, with a leaf carved cresting with foliage to the sides
Condition
An impressive piece retaining much of its original glass and etched decoration. Which are distressed commensurate with age and use. The removable elements have some minor losses and have been re-gilt. The central plate is possibly later. There are losses to the gilded and punched border, most notable on the right-hand side upright. With some movement along the lines of construction to the interior border.
