Condition

This is an impressive table. There is some movement along the lines of construction. The veneered marble top is very decorative but is chipped to the front left and back left corners. These look like recent chips. There are other minor older rim chips to the edges and scratches to the surface. The table base appears re-gilt. There are chips to carved details in places, including a loss to the central foliate decoration on the stretcher rail. There are old, marks, chips and scratches consistent with age and use. A very decorative item that is of an impressive scale and generally in fair condition.
