Description

  • Walnut, kingwood, alabaster
  • 96cm. high, 111cm. wide, 46cm. deep; 3ft. 1¾in., 3ft. 7¾in., 1ft. 6in.
of serpentine form, with later alabaster veneered tops above three drawers ending in claw and ball feet, alterations

Condition

In overall reasonable condition. There are cracks and losses to the veneers to the returns. With movement along the lines of construction. One with a loss to the cross-banding on the central drawer front and losses to the moulded edge. The back left leg has broken and been re-glued. The front right leg to the other has a restoration. There are also replaced elements to the moulded edges and minor losses to the veneer. The escutcheon to the top drawer is loose and there are signs of scratching where it has rubbed. There is a loss to the veneer around the escutcheon to the middle drawer. The marble top to one with a two inch chip at back right. These may benefit from some light workshop attention according to taste. With old marks, chips and scratches throughout commensurate with age and use.
