Description

  • silver and brass, electrical parts from lamps
  • 19 x 17cm ciascuno
each of bell-shaped form with waisted necks, decorated with silver inlay, with floral stems, with a repeat pattern of stylised flowers, with petaled design, with geometric motifs, three mounted as lamps with bulb sockets, wires and plugs, the largest also with lamp shade

Condition

All in fair condition, the largest, still with lampshade decorated in a slightly different technique suggesting a later date, circa 1900, with some abrasion to surface, notably lower edge and oxidisation to the silver, unable to test whether the lamp functions, but includes four bulbs, the lampshade with some minor scratches and oxidisation, the petal-design huqqa with some abrasion also and minor resulting losses, set on a velvet panel for protection to base, the huqqa with floral stems mounted on a lower base for elevation, quite a few losses (about 50%) and oxidisation and abrasion, also on a velvet panel underside, the smallest with some abrasion to lower edge, losses and residue from old cleaning products, as viewed.
