the baluster body rising from a recessed base to a short straight neck, carved around the exterior with four large flower-filled quatrefoil panels, all above a band of elongated lotus leaves and below floral scroll and chevron bands at the shoulder and neck, covered overall in a bluish-green glaze save for the rim and base of the foot which have burnt an orange-red in the firing

Condition

The base with C-shaped cracks, one of which runs up the body by about 10cm. There are other minor glaze hairlines. The rim with a 3cm crack and a shallow chip. General firing imperfections and surface wear.
