  • Clock 97cm. 38in. high; Bracket 36cm. 14in. high
11-inch dial with enamel cartouche numerals, the English fusee and chain movement with deadbeat escapement, striking on a bell, the case surmounted by a figure of Neptune and veneered with brown shell inlaid in brass with foliate scrolls, gilt foliate mounts and scroll feet; on a conforming bracket with mask corners

Condition

19th century dial has cracks to II, VI and VIII and chips to IX and XI. 19th century English movement is complete and look as though it would run but would benefit from a clean and fresh oil. Case is rather dirty, Neptune lacking trident, lifting and losses to inlay and veneers, gilt mounts are very dirty. With pendulum, winder and case key.
