- 85cm. high, 130cm. wide, 65cm. deep; 2ft 9½in., 4ft 3¼in., 2ft 1½in.
of serpentine bombe form with a moulded mottled black and white fossilised marble top above two concave fronted drawers flanking a narrow drawer above two long drawers inlaid with reserves of floral sprays with herringbone veneered sides, with later gilt-bronze mounts throughout cast with scrolls, flowers and foliage; restorations
Condition
In over all reasonable conserved condition. The commode has suffered form worm damage and rot in the past but has since been secured and strengthening brackets have been added to the interior carcass. There are some minor losses to he veneer on the draw fronts which has been refinished and have undergone some restoration notably the middle long drawer. The front right foot has a small loss to the brass mount.
