the circular top with acanthus carved moulded frieze above a shell and acanthus carved pierced support on a carved tapering triangular column issuing three S scrolled legs, minor differences in carving
Condition
A very finely carved pair of torchères in good restored condition. Both are sound and sturdy. The gilding has been refreshed. There are restored breaks to the underside of the top platform and to the legs. The legs have later blocked pad feet. With old marks and scratches commensurate with age and use.
