- one plaque 18.7cm. high, 26.7cm. wide; the other 21cm. high, 29cm. wide; 7½in., 10¼in.; 8¼in., 11¼in.
one depicting St. Peter's Square the other depicting the Roman Forum, in giltwood frames
Condition
In overall reasonable condition. The micro-mosaic depicting the Forum has cracks to the black slate ground which have caused movement to the lower left edge of the plaque. Both panels have some signs of wear within the joins of the micro-mosaics. The frame to the Forum has some signs of movement along the lines of construction. There are old marks and scratches to both frames consistent with age.
