Description

  • Silver, Porcelain, Leather
  • knife 22.8cm., 9in. long
comprising: 12 table spoons, 12 table forks, 12 table knives, 1 serving spoon, and 1 soup ladle; all with ornate rococo-esque terminals and embellishments, the knives and forks with Sevres-style baluster porcelain handles; cobalt blue with gilded scrolls around multi-coloured floral sprays, all contained in a fitted burgundy leather case with green velvet interior

Condition

The gilding is bright to each piece. The terminals have possibly had erasures before all pieces have been re-gilded at some point, The porcelain handles are generally in good order although at least one knife and two forks show signs of restoration while one fork handle is severely cracked. The blades and tines are in good order while the spoons are good gauge with good bowls. The case is scuffed in accordance with age and usage.
