Description
- Silver
- 31.7cm., 12 1/2 in. diameter, 16.6cm., 6 1/2 in. high
circular bellied form, the double-skinned body embossed in high-relief with irises and reeds issuing from a watery bank, on a plain ground raised on a flaring collet foot, the underside stamped with various character marks
Condition
Heavy gauge and quality. The foot is pressed in/bruised around one side of the body and therefore leans to one side, it is split around the junction at this point. As typical with pieces of this high relief type there are a few small holes, splits and traces of repair, but much of this if not all would have occurred in the construction process.
