Condition
Overall measurements: 344cm across the top, 351cm across the bottom. 346cm horizontally through the middle. 440cm the left hand side, 458 the right hand side. 446cm vertically through the middle.
Overall in good condition with flexible handle and lustrous wool and an attractive lively colour. The pile generally an even 3mm, with some minor areas down to knot bars. For a particular example see the field within the lower right hand quadrant. There are few dark surface marks throughout, an example can be seen in the top right hand corner in the minor borders. There is a small split to the minor border in the lower right side, approx. 4cm. There is small patch in the main field measuring approx 6 by 5cm. There are a series of patches to both the top and bottom minor borders. The top with nine, the widest measuring approx 10cm and found to the top left hand side, the longest approx. 14cm. and located one third across from the left hand edge. The bottom with seven, the widest approx 5cm located one third across from the right hand side the longest 14cm. located one third across from the left hand side - these patches appear as lighter areas and visible from the photograph. There is evidence of old moth damage, see outer right hand border approx 80cm down from the top. Ends secured with back stitch. With original side cords. This is an attractive and decorative carpet and is ready to place.
