Condition
Overall measurements: 307cm across the top, 304cm across the bottom, 313cm horizontally through the middle, 392cm from the left, 384cm from the right.
Pile generally good 4-5mm. With some localised wear in upper right hand and left corners of the main red medallion, and in the centre of the lower half of the red medallion. With spot foundation visible, some evidence of old moth damage in upper border. With one localised bald area in left hand pink spandrel. Old repair adjacent to bald area. Repaired split to upper border approx. 11cm. long and another in lower left hand edge of border approx. 2cm. long. Dark 'L' shaped mark lower left corner which might improve with a professional clean. Some loose threads on side cords, minor losses to lower end guard now overlocked, upper end with original flatweave and trimmed fringe with minor losses. Robust handle, generally dense pile, sound usable condition.
