Description

  • 202.5cm. high, 71cm. wide, 51cm. deep; 6ft. 7½in., 2ft. 4in., 1ft. 8in.
the moulded pediment above a later glazed cupboard door opening to reveal three adjustable glass shelves, above a candle slide, the fall front below opening to reveal a burr elm fitted interior with a central cupboard enclosing on short drawer, flanked by an arrangement of pigeon holes, two long drawers and four short drawers, above four graduated long drawers on bracket feet

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. The surface has been re-polished but retains its intricate figuring. The fall front opening to reveal a burr-elm with one age crack. The top cupboard formerly with a light and so has been drilled for electricity at the top and was used as a display cabinet. With old marks and scratches throughout commensurate with age and use. The panel back has some movement and is secured with tape. There are multiple baton supports to secure the two pieces when put together.
