Condition
Original canvas, undulates slightly. Faint upper horizontal stretcher bar mark and a few minor, isolated signs of craquelure in the background, only visible upon close inspection. A little dirty otherwise the work appears in good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals areas of retouching along the edges. Also some flecks of retouching to her face and flecks of retouching across the background, and or two further spots in her habit.
Held in a gilt Watts style frame, matching the other work by Reid in the sale.
