  • height 14 3/4 in.; width 21 1/2 in.; depth 12 in.

Condition

Coffer in good restored condition. There are small areas of old infill and replacements to the mother-of-pearl inlay typical for pieces of this age. The lacquer surface has a pleasing generalized craquelure consistent with age and usage. Hinges replaced and handles probably later, the other brass mounts with old tarnishing and surface dirt. Some splits to the internal surface of the lid. A handsome piece overall and ready to be used.
