Lovely quality. Leather with aged appearance and 'cracks'. The upholstery has been re-done recently and is stable. Wear to extremities and areas of timber exposed. Re-touching to gilt-surface and discrepancies in color. Filler to sold splits and separations. Exposed areas of gesso and cracks to the surface. One front leg slightly warped. Re-blocked and re-glued. Rear legs of one chair with filler and re-gessoed areas to tops suggested repaired fractures/breaks. Both chairs solid. One with chipped acanthus detail.
