Manor in Touraine The painting sits on its original canvas. The matter is thin in some areas where the canvas is visible (observable on the photograph in the catalogue). The painting would benefit from a light cleaning. Banks of the Loire The painting sits on its original canvas, which is slightly detached from the stretcher in the upper right and on the left of the composition. Two small holes are visible in the water and a few minor nail-head sized holes are scattered on the surface. A tear is visible in the upper right of the composition (visible on the visual in the catalogue). The painting would benefit from a light cleaning and a restoration. Under UV light, no repaint is visible on both paintings. Very good overall condition, especially for the Manor in Touraine.
