the slightly waisted vessel of irregular outline, the surface boldly carved with intermittent raised 'knots' simulating the gnarled surface of the trunk, a circular plug fitted into an aperture at the base

Condition

The brushpot is in good overall condition. There is some splitting to the base rim and from the circular aperture. There is expected wear and some ink staining. The surface is dry and pale from sun exposure.
