of rectangular form, comprising a cover and four trays, each conforming to the tray above, set on a base frame of square-section posts and side posts, flanked by shaped openwork standing spandrels, joined at the top by a humpback handle, further reinforced with a rectangular-section stretcher, the cover held in place by a brass rod extending through the two side supports, the base frame and tray and top panel corners reinforced with baitong mounts (6)

Condition

There are some filled repairs and consolidation to the joinery. The exterior is a bit dry and paler than the interior from sun exposure.
