modeled standing attentively on a low trapezoidal base, hands held in front supporting a pair of green and amber-glazed slippers with upturned pointed toes, wearing a voluminous, long, pale green-glazed robe with a central amber streak, gathered in crisp, shallow folds secured by a low-slung belt, over loose trousers, the unglazed head with hair swept up in a double-bun topknot bound in a black kerchief, the soft full face with well-articulated features picked out in black and red pigments over white slip, Japanese wood boxes (5)

Condition

The pair of slippers held by the figure have restoration to the toes. There are also possible minor touch-ups to the mouth, nose and ears. Otherwise, the figure is in overall good condition with some expected minor firing imperfections.
