the exterior of the vessel decorated with a solitary figure walking along a pathway amidst densely grown trees, inscribed with Hanlin cezhang ('Leaning on Crutches in the Winter Woods') followed by Pingxincaotang zhuren ('master of Pingxincaotang') and signed Yeting wangping, followed by a red seal mark reading Yeting, the base with a seal mark reading pingshan (Wang Yeting's hao)
Condition
There is an approx. 7.5 cm hairline crack going vertically through the inscription on the neck and a couple of minute fritting and specks on the footrim. Apart from that the vase remains in fair condition. The quality of the painting is good and the enamels have been well preserved.
