Description

elegantly carved to the interior with a chrysanthemum spray accompanied by a poetic verse, followed by an inscription reading Caoju zhuren huake ('painted and carved by the Master of Humble Dwelling') the exterior carved in relief with various forms of chrysanthemum blooms
Condition
The tray is generally in good condition. There is an horizontal crack in the wood on the interior which has been stabilized (also showing on approx 15cm to the underside) and further expected minor age cracks but overall the condition is good. The carving around the sides has been well preserved.with only light nibbling or nicks along some edges and one worm hole.
