the ‘Dezhong’ teapot inscribed to the base with a poetic verse reading Qunian jinri cimenzhong (‘a year ago today I visited this place’), from a poem written by the Tang dynasty poet Cui Hu, followed by a three-character signature Mengchen zhi; the ‘Hanfang’ teapot of rectangular section, inscribed to the base with an inscription reading Xinmao qiuri Hui Yigong zhi (‘made by Hui Yigong on an autumn day of the xinmao year’); the ‘Shendeng’ teapot inscribed to the base with a verse Huayue zhixia jishui chuixiang (‘cooking under the flower and moon’)
Condition
The Dezhong teapot has a minute flake to the spout and another to the cover. The cover of the Shendeng teapot has some minute retouched flakes to the rim. All three teapots have some typical firing imperfections.
