each of circular form and inscribed with a different poem written by the Tang dynasty poet Liu Yuxi, the stone of an even colour with some cloudy white inclusions

All are generally in good condition. There is some surface wear and a few minute nick or bruise to the edges of the disc on either the front or back of the medallions (two are visible on the photo on the upper left and upper center discs), but these are rather insignificant and there are no chips or breaks. The gilding applied on the characters is lightly rubbed in areas.
