- bronze
with a pair of mythical beast-head handles and a tall splayed foot, inscribed to the interior with a long inscription, possibly recording a transfer order made by the emperor, dated to the 6th year of the Zhengtong period (1441)
Condition
It is in overall good condition except for some expected dents. The vessel has some manufacture flaws, a few places appear to have been slightly retouched with wax or paint. The surface has typical tarnishing consistent with age.
