the cup with a gilt bracket-lobed rim, painted with female immortals playing musical instruments in a celestial landscape, the interior and base enamelled turquoise, the base with an iron-red Jiang Zhenglong zhi seal mark; the dish painted with a tranquil scene of cottages nestled among mountains by a river, the rim with a brown wash imitating gilt
Condition
The two pieces are generally in good condition. There is a small original chip to the interior of the footrim of the bowl, now applied with a turquoise glaze. There is some rubbing to the gilding encircling the foot. There are also tiny losses of enamels. The interior is somewhat soiled but can be cleaned. The surface of the dish is also somewhat soiled with a few specks in the glaze.
