seated in vajraparyankasana on a beaded double-lotus pedestal, the right hand held in bhumisparshamudra and the left in dhyanamudra, dressed in a pleated robe draped over the left shoulder, the serene expression framed by a domed usnisa with tight curls and a pair of pendulous earlobes, the sealed base engraved with a visvavajra

Condition

There is a square hole in the cast under the left elbow of the figure of approx. 0.8 by 0.5 cm. There is some oxidisation and rubbing to the gilding, more predominantly along his left shoulder, hands, left knee and face, as well as the lotus petals around the base. There is some further occasional pitting and dents, all consistent with age.
