comprising a circular green ink moulded with a plum tree and a four-character seal inscription to the reverse, the side inscribed with a hall mark and dated to the Qianlong period; a black ink modelled as a qin in a cloth covering, gilt-decorated with chrysanthemum flowers, the studio name yi shan dong inscribed to the reverse; a black ink coloured yellow, one side with a scholar's studio in a garden and the reverse with a winged dragon flying over waves over the characters yi qing shushi, with a four-character Jiaqing mark; and three rectangular inks signed by Hu Kaiwen of Huizhou
Condition
All are in general good condition. There are some expected wear to the surfaces of all, including an age crack to the centre of the circular ink along the tree trunk (as visible in the photo). There is some expected wear to the gilding to the pair of inks. There is some tarnishing to the design of the arrow-shaped ink as well as a couple of minor chips to the edges of the qin-shaped ink, all consistent with age.
