the padlock-form jade plaque carved with a pair of mandarin ducks, set into a section of cut velvet, later mounted as a blotter pad
Condition
The jade plaque has been broken into three pieces and glued back together. One break runs through the center, the other is to a small section on the left side. The plaque is detached from the blotter. The cut velvet fabric covering the blotter is heavily worn, and the tooled leather binding is dry and heavily flaked away.
