with upturned mouth, spiky dorsal fin and rounded caudal fin, the fish with raised head and flicked tail, depicted swimming through and supported on a base of frothing waves, the stone of an even pale celadon color with faint opaque white inclusions and russet veining, wood stand (2)

Condition

In good condition, with three small nicks to tip of the fin, and to other extremities of the carving, A russet crack within the stone encircling the section of waves beneath the tail. Several other pale russet veins. The stone of an attractive whitish-celadon color with opaque white inclusions.
