of archaistic zun form, rising from a high splayed foot to a rectangular body and a waisted neck, decorated on each of the four sides with a shou character in alternating red and yellow enamels, each framed within a shaped cartouche with lotus sprays to the corners, the neck and foot enameled with lotus scroll, all reserved on a turquoise-blue ground

Condition

Characteristic pitting and flaking to the enamels. Extensive wear and rubbing to the gilt bronze edges. Several small dents to the edges.
